 therland will tell the tale of the The Brahan Seer\, a legendary figure fa
 mous for his gift of second sight.\n\nHe is known throughout Scotland and 
 the Scottish Diaspora\; indeed\, anywhere there is an interest in looking 
 into the future.\n\nOver time\, from the seventeenth century to the presen
 t\, numerous prophecies have been attributed to the Brahan Seer.\n\nThe pr
 ophecies describe the changes - some trivial\, some momentous - to Scottis
 h Highland culture and society. These\, in turn\, shaped the legend’s de
 velopment during this period.\n\nCOST: £5 including refreshments. Tickets
  are available from the Forres Area Credit Union premises at 53 High Str
 eet from January 9.
