Volunteers

Our volunteers give two hours on one day per month of their time throughout the summer season to provide support to our visitors at Nelson’s Tower.

Although there are over forty volunteers you will pair up with one other for joint duty at the tower. Everyone finds it very rewarding meeting the visitors and enjoying the views and beauty of our surroundings.   On each duty you will find a new partner working with you and a varied source of conversation in quieter moments.

New Volunteer?

If you think you could fill a volunteer space just click on the vacant character at the right to download a form with detailed information.

In The Tolbooth, volunteer guides are also required, generally under the same arrangements of two-hour sessions. Training in the presentation of the history of the Tolbooth will be given to new guides.

We also have volunteers working in the Tolbooth on restoration work.  If you have building services skills or just like making tea and would like volunteer then click on the picture to download the form or send a message to our Secretary via the contact page.
