Wishing Well

Have you made a wish?

By now you will have wandered through Grant Park and if you are here in the spring and summer months you will no doubt be amazed by the beautiful floral displays.

These displays are the hard work of Forres in Bloom who for the last 30 years have maintained the park’s flower beds. They also tend to other areas of Forres including creating stunning hanging baskets which are displayed up and down the High Street.

Some of the displays created by Forres in Bloom

Over the years, the town has won gold medals in Britain in Bloom, Champion of Champions and Beautiful Scotland competitions, and, in 2019, collected the Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service.

If you made your way to this marker via the sunken gardens you will be interested to learn that this was the site of Forres House which was destroyed by fire in 1970.

Forres House which once stood where the sunken gardens now are.

You now need to return to Instruction 8 on your trail. Good luck!
