We’re extending our opening hours to take part in Moray Doors Open Day. Doors Open Days is Scotland’s largest free festival that celebrates places and stories, new and old and we are delighted to be part of it.
Visit Nelson’s Tower which stands high on Cluny Hill above Grant P
ark in Forres. Erected by public subscription, the tower was built as a memorial to Admiral Lord Nelson.
Why not make a day of it and explore the glorious Grant Park which is celebrating 100 years this year. Grant Park has a vibrant playpark, situated right next to the wonderful Mathers, where you can enjoy ice cream and take in the new colourful mural. How many animals can you spot?
Next, you can explore the pretty gardens, say ‘hi’ to Ben, the wooden piper, come face to face with a unicorn and enjoy the floral displays lovingly created by Forres In Bloom.
Once you have completed that, you can explore the tracks around Cluny Hill – you might even find Helge’s Hole and even spot a dragon.
Your final destination HAS to be Nelson’s Tower – which you can climb to enjoy the views from the top.
